An Art Fundraiser for Memorial Hall

Posted in:

The Monson Arts Council is working with the Town of Monson to support and repair Memorial Hall — the iconic structure that symbolizes the people and community and the lives and life that were given to battle the oppression of slavery in these United States of America.  Reed Coles, Vice President of the MAC and vice chairman of the Memorial Hall Restoration Committee, has proposed a fundraising event to coincide with an evening of acknowledgment and giving to the revitalization funds of the Monson Memorial Hall.

The Monson Arts Council is asking you as a local artist to make and donate artwork of any genre depicting your impression of this beautiful structure. It can be simple or complex, framed or unframed. ,All donated art will be offered to the public in the form of a silent auction on the evening of January 21, 2024.

If you are interested in donating a work or works to this fundraiser, please contact Reed Coles at reedcoles@gmail.com or 413-537-0245.

We will need to know of your intention to participate as well as a brief summary of your planned work of art by January 1, 2024 so that we may list you as a participating artist in our publicity. Donations must be received prior to January 21, 2024.

Our Memorial Hall Fundraiser will coincide with the MAC Art Show Committee special exhibit of Hand Made Antique Dresses accompanied by unique 19th century refreshments. All Art submissions will be exhibited in the House of Art during that event.
