Seeking an Experienced Stage Manager

MAC Community Theatre is seeking an experienced Stage Manager for our upcoming Fall 2022 production. The show will be a single set, straight, comedy. A stipend will be included with this role. Please submit our contact form or email a resume. Deadline for applications is August 15, 2022.

Stage Managers facilitate communication across all creative and technical departments. They act as a right hand to the director and are responsible for ensuring that productions run smoothly and to schedule. They organize all practical and technical aspects of rehearsals and productions to ensure that performers and crew are in the right place at the right time.

Responsibilities include:

• Participating in auditions 
• Scheduling and running rehearsals with the director
• Taking staging notes during rehearsals
• Herding cats, actors, parents, technicians… whatever needs to be herded
• Working with Technical Leads to determine needs and specifics for:
  • Sets
  • Props
  • Lighting
  • Sound
• Managing stage crew
• Preparing set change list/board
• Calling all technical cues during performances
• Coordinates with House Manager to start the show at open and intermissions
• Overseeing the entire show each time it is performed
