The Monson Arts Council (MAC) will be honoring Peter and Chase Barnett with the Third Annual “Feather in Your Cap” Award at the Friday night, July 19th performance of The Radio Play Disaster by Don Zolidis at Memorial Hall.
Peter and Chase Barnett have been part of the Monson community for over 20 years. In that time, they have done so much for the arts, the community, and the Monson Arts Council. Their commitment and contribution is felt townwide. Please come help us celebrate them at this special ceremony.
The Feather in Your Cap Award was created by the Monson Arts Council (MAC) in 2022. This award is given to a member of the local arts community who has made significant contributions to theatre in Monson. The first presentation of the award coincided with the return of the MAC theatre program after a long hiatus. The award’s name is derived from the first play presented by MAC, “A Feather in Her Cap”, written and produced by local Monson resident Phyllis Hull.

The Monson Arts Council is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is “To discover, promote and sustain an appreciation of and an involvement in art and culture in Monson.” It is run by a volunteer Board of Directors who serve three year terms, and who each year elect a slate of officers for the coming year.
